Arrow receives ‘Microsoft Americas Top Performer in H2’ recognition

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (Nov. 14, 2013) – Arrow Electronics Inc. (NYSE: ARW) announced it has been recognized as the “Microsoft Americas Top Performer in H2” among all Microsoft Authorized Refurbishers in the United States for the second half of fiscal 2013.  As an authorized refurbisher, Arrow rebuilds and restores laptops, tablets and servers with genuine Microsoft software.

“Arrow is honored to receive this recognition by Microsoft,” said Mark Majeske, president, global reverse logistics, Arrow.  “By offering high-quality laptops, notebooks and other equipment preinstalled with a genuine Microsoft operating system, we enable our customers to purchase functional, cost-effective and complete technology solutions.”

Given the international scale of Arrow’s value recovery business providing electronic and IT asset disposition services through 16 processing facilities across the Americas and Europe, Arrow is among the largest Microsoft Authorized Refurbishers in the world.  The company has been a Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher since the inception of the program in 2007 and has had an integral role in its development.

“We congratulate Arrow for being awarded the Americas Top Performer for the second half of 2013 for our Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher program, and for Arrow’s ongoing leadership in the industry,” said David Tannenbaum, senior director, United States original equipment manufacturers, at Microsoft.  “This is not an easy award to achieve, and we appreciate Arrow’s continued commitment to the program.”
